Marked

Class is my escapism (as well as Vegas but that's a one time weekend getaway.)
I love that when I am sitting, absorbing the lesson, my mind melts from every other worry. This revelation hit me hard in wednesday class: I'm warning you now that I will firmly express my views about God in this post and if it makes you uncomfortable I promise that was not my intention.
I strongly believe in a Supreme Creator. No matter how you envision your God, I challenge you to search for His reminders in life.
Think of it like this: an artist always signs their masterpieces, why would we not be marked by our Designer? We have similar features, personalities and habits as our physical parents/significant contributors to our lives. Can you not see the innate skills you specifically inherited from God? You are Deeply Rooted with expertise, brilliance and flair.
It is true we all have complexity, individuality and shortcomings. By this, it enables us to fabricate something of our own. Regardless of our opinions towards God, He Never forgets a single soul. Even more, he rejoices in us.
Create something, pay it due respect and rejoice in the beauty that has surfaced in front of you. You won't regret it.

Amelie

This truly is a delightful film. It captures the simplicities of everyday life in a creative, beautifully composed way. An ordinary girl makes the world a shade better and by doing so, she gets something in return.

Luv You Elizabeth

Yesterday, from the moment the sun rose until I tucked my numb toes into bed I was surrounded by people I adore and circumstances of hope. I realized my debt of gratitude towards the whole day when I walked from my first class this morning down a hidden pathway and found "Luv You Elizabeth" written in the snow. I am well aware that the lovely being who wrote this remark had no intention of me in mind. Instead of thinking about that though, I just assumed that it was a heavenly reminder from the very ground I walk on that I am indeed loved and supported. Feeling it was irreplaceable to my heart. I love you too.
I got to spend time with my crazy family.

My dearest Sonia is achieving her dreams.Who couldn't be inexplicably joyous for her?
Despite how intolerable I am, these girls let me stick around. Oh how I love them+Sonia+My Family+you dave+all those who reached out to help me with my little problematic moment. Thanks for everything you've done in the last two days, whether you knew it or not.

Ain't Gonna Lie

Honesty is important when you're trying to start off fresh with a new year and honestly? I'm at the end of my rope. Everything inside of me is screaming "give up." I can't even muster up the usual fake smile. When I'm very depressed I sleep more (life doesn't even seem worth waking up.) My body literally failed this break. It's too much pressure.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Change

There is a reason why horses represent lack of fear and a free spirit.
There is also a reason why I have always loved horses.
Once again horses brought me hope.
The Talents Horses possess that I want in 2011:
-speak less, listen more
-cultivate my inner and physical strengths
-feel the beat within
-run harder
-face fear head on
-rejoice in the freedom of my soul

blissful |ˈblisfəl|

This Christmas, I'm floored.
I couldn't have asked for anything more. I know it was a sacrifice for those involved and I am SO grateful for everything this holiday. ESPECIALLY how even the smallest act proved to mean the world to me, I feel loved, cared for, and wanted. With what I got and the way my family made me feel, I can conquer the world. They saw that vision too and we're facing it head on. Together. I won't flaunt a list of the things I got because I think these glorious feelings can be achieved without bragging (although, every single gift was perfect for me. Thank you thank you thank you thank you...+eternity.) Best Christmas EVER! Topping this one? Nearly impossible. Take that, naughty elf.

Tweedle Jean, Tweedle Jane and Tweedle Drumsticks

Today is Sun☀day: such a blessed day it had to be named after the brightest physical object in the universe. Today was extra blessed because I got to spend my sunday evening with two of my very favorite people. Audrey and Adam.
One of the many miracles this Sunday.

Perfect Package

Hey folks,
I sure hope you're having a good day. As for me, I have a pimple on my nose just in time to be Rudolph's twin. Oh joy. A lady from England yelled at me at work and her very lovely accent made all her mean words seem that much truer. Don't worry, we're good friends now and I hear her little nine year old did quite the wrapping job for his fathers Christmas present. Sometimes I feel like this guy [view below.] Packaged seemingly perfectly but quite uncomfortably forced there. My attitudes will change, don't you fret my deary. Christmas is going to be that much more interesting if I open up a present and there is a MAN inside. Don't be too jealous. Make your spirits bright.

The Woman Wears Pearls in the Kitchen

"You know how famously grouchy the french can be but Julia can bring the best out of a pole. She thinks they are the most wonderful people in the world."
Julia Child was really quite the little firecracker and you know me, I love people with spunk. Those like Julia, who have a talent of bringing out the best in people, (even those who don't see their 'best' side very often) should be celebrated! Plus, Julia was fearless! Who goes to a cooking school for boys and sticks with it to the end? Mrs. Child. What an admirable woman.

"They were very unfriendly until they discovered I was FEARLESS....something I discovered about the same time they did."
Now, Meryl Streep was vividly phenomenal playing Julia Child in the movie. I wished to somehow become the woman that was portrayed in her performance the first time I saw it. She really studied Julia and brought her to life on screen. I believe she deserves the highest praise for her acting talent. I like this movie because it focuses on something real and good. We all need a little more good in our lives.

Hope

And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:

"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

There is evidence that God is good, especially during this time of year. Your God might not be my God but he loves you regardless. He wants you to be a bell. Speak Peace to the souls around you this Christmas season. Be a light others can rely upon.

Fire and Ice

For some of us, it's just another building. For others, it represents childhood. I don't want to sound sappy bud Daddy has always loved this building so much. Sad we had to say goodbye.

Come one Let Your Colors Burst

Music has been touching my soul a lot lately, if you haven't already noticed. I get down on myself, it's true. My insecurity succumbs my thoughts and I feel kind of hopeless. It's been a hard week for a lot of people. It was difficult for me because I hate goodbyes. BUT during the points that I was so overwhelmed by it all, this song brought me out of it. Firework-Katy Perry. I could listen to it and felt sudden motivation of ruling the world! This song makes me run faster, write better, get me to study for hours and want to dye a section of my hair purple. I think I will. Merry Christmas to me. So if you refuse to listen to this song because of the various reasons people assume they don't like all of the music of one artist or one genre (which I might add is RIDICULOUS since there is beauty within all of us to reach) please just read these few words of encouragement I hope for you. Ignite love.

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Do you know that there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you

You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night

I have been debating putting up this song for a long time. There are three seconds of the music video that I don't agree with and do not want anyone to think I support. Remember that.
