I am barely four years old.
Some people call me pleasant, others just say I'm shy. I keep to myself well and my imagination occupies the majority of my social interactions. There it was, walking towards me- Strong, majestic and over twice my size. A 35 pound girl could have been shaken off easily but I stood there fearlessly gazing up into his eyes. I wondered if it would even notice my extra weight or my tiny fingers stroking it's fur. My feet didn't reach the stirrups but the unforgettable minute I was plopped onto that back, I was mesmerized.
I remember every ounce of excitement pumping through my veins, a horse called snow had completely bewitched me. And at such a young age.

The gorgeous sunset.
Our Honeymoon could not have been better.
Unless Dave entered into the Hairy Chest contest because he would have won. Hands down.

Milkshakes
Dave made the best milkshakes last night.
But I just barely walked in on him talking to someone saying, "Well you see, I lactate and then she gathers my milk...."
Hmmmmmmmm.

Delicious!
Rolo Cookies
1 box Devils Food Cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 c. oil
Mix cake mix, oil, and eggs. Take a small ball of dough and form a ball around the rolo. (Only use enough dough to cover the rolo so it can spread through the cookie.)
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 7-8 minutes. We made 55 cookies.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

A First Kiss and a Reminisce
So, Yesterday marked the day that Dave and I secured our like-age of each other. In our Bishop/Brother in law's basement July 29, 2009 Dave pulled the pillow I was attached to and our lips met each other.
So in celebration, Dave and I relived a bit of that enchanted evening by me creaming him in Zilch and then watching Flushed Away.
Since I was so distracted the first time we tried to watch the movie, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I indeed think it is quite funny.

As follows is a list of meals she has perfected on her first try.
1. Homemade Pizza
2. Homemade Panini's
3. Baked Macaroni and Cheese (with help from Kim)

For Dora
The empty void you are desperately yearning for is for Sonia Valdez. Don't worry Dora, Jess and I made space for you to photoshop in when you get back. (Night Before, July 8th)
PS We almost ran into a hurricane named Dora on the HM.
PPS I do not know someone who makes better faces than Bethany Cherry.

Running Away
They were madly in love.
Enough to run away.
So they did.
But before that story, you have to hear the pre-wed day. July 4th, Freedom Run with Mary (age 9)
"Runaway Bride"
but not really.

Throw it Out The Window
By my early teenage years, I knew everything about love. Or so I thought.
I read all the self help, rom com, ditzy teenage romance novels and watched all the passionate/damsel in distress movies (not forgetting I would glance at the check out stand magazines but never dared open them.) Sound familiar? Love is thrown at us, we are told how much we need it, how to be better at it and can only imagine the happiness it will bring. In actuality, I had no idea what love is. For me, love simply started small... like this.

My advice is..... THROW AWAY THE "FUTURE MAN" LIST. The list that girls make and the boys dread. When I was busy forming those silly lists, I would miss the point completely by constantly finding reasons not to be around someone.
Having goals is wonderful but you will not marry the man on your list, in 50 years you won't even be married to the person you fell in love with. We all change on purpose. When you get married you commit to loving your companion as you both change. The key is not to completely forget the qualities you are attracted to, you'll be naturally drawn to a person you shares your similar views. As an experiment, I made a new list after the wedding and I love it because I married the man I describe.
Now that he's my soul mate, I want to rejoice in small details that first drew him to me. So this is My "ULTIMATE MAN" list, based on the one and only David Jonathan Fesler of South Dakota. (It may not be your man but it's based on mine and my personal opinion says, you can't get better than this. )
-Find a man who you love to make smile-
Dave has the best smile in the world and when I'm the culprit to forming that giant grin on his face, it's one of the best feelings.
-Find a man exhaustingly excited about your future together-
Night, Day, mid-afternoon and evening Dave has been working hard on our quaint little apartment to make it feel like our home (on his own free will mind you). I have never met anyone so excited to hang pictures on the wall, assemble bed frames and shop for garbage cans.
-Find a man who doesn't like drama-
Living in a world based on how much drama can be stirred is a complete nightmare. There may be a good story that comes from it but it's not worth it. High school is over, so leave it in the past.
-Find a protector-
There is something different when a true protector wraps his arms around you, it feels safe. You cannot afford to marry a runner. I know when someone truly cares about me when they go out of their way to protect me. Dave did that. One time I fell and my head was bleeding pretty badly. It was inconvenient for anyone to take me down the canyon to get help. Dave insisted, he stayed with me at the hospital until my parents got there. He barely knew me and he helped me in such a monumental way.
-Find a man who says his feelings to your face-
Relationships should not be turned virtual. It was always a goal of mine to never return feelings to a man who texted me his. Surprisingly, that eliminated every guy in high school. They never had the guts to say it to my face. Dave did. For our first kiss, he just pulled me towards him and kissed me right on the mouth.
-Find a man who respects every woman-
Dave doesn't just treat me like a queen, he treats everyone like they are his top priority. He has got the old fashioned manners perfected.
-Find a man who you are comfortable around-
It's always surprises me how instantly comfortable I was around Dave. He was always my rescuer, he'd ask me on a date on a day that I'd feel completely horrible and turn the day completely around guarantee every time. I never needed to "act" like the perfect date around him. I could be me and he could be him and we loved that most about each other.
There are so many qualities I love about Dave but I guess this post is long enough. As for the girls?
Girls- Always Be Sincere, Always Be Open and Always Be your Best.
