The "Wilma" stands for "Weird"
Church? *groan* I can't handle it.
I never feel like this, except today.
Regardless of all my whiny complaints, the fact about a true church is: inspiration is undeniable. Each lesson that was taught this fine sunday was crucial for me to hear. Church was EXACTLY what I needed. It is creepy how specific and applicable everything was to all my current worries. Despite my awkward attempts of befriending someone by complimenting their smell or introducing myself as David's Bathsheba, someday I might actually get over this hiccup of eccentricity. Probably not.
Go to church when you don't want to, you'll know why when you get there.

Magic
I have magic powers.
If there is someone I really need to see, I just repeat that it's important to see them in my mind several times and after a few minutes they always show up! It has worked three times.

"Sheecon Nouget"
is Chicken nugget with a french accent.
School has turned out to be such a blessing this semester. Digging my face deep into creativity has emerged a new energy in me. I can't get enough of classes because every topic is something I'm deeply passionate about.
We all have our inner chicken.
As I have discovered, the experiences in life that I worry, fret and feel anxious about always turn out to be the best for me: going to BYU, applying for the film program, quitting my job, marriage...all of it have. Your best journey could very likely be on a different route and that's okay. Taking risks in a good direction and disregarding the many excuses against the leap of faith (remember: there will always be a reason not to try), seem to always remind me to trust myself. I try too hard to be rational, logical and to never make a mistake. But I'm human and with that, I have my right to personal intuition.
Trust your gut today.

And so it's been said
The group decided on Aerial dancing! yipee.
I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.
Now, I have to pray hard and cross my fingers that the entire performing group will be okay with us filming them. Please please pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

Busy weekend.
Dave's Birthday was on Friday. His siblings scheduled a shin-dig and it was a blast! I gave Dave the bear-head...
-the worker at Blickenstaff's looked at me like I was insane for asking to buy their decoration.
-Dave was on the breach of tears when he opened it. So far he's teared up talking about our future children, when he said "I love you" on our wedding day and when he got the bear head he fell in love with on Lortab.

Yesterday was tiring but nonetheless extremely worth it. In the morning I got to film at the state fair. Here is a blurry picture from some of the footage I got. haha.
-Richard, one of the riders, came back during the lunch break to eat his food next to his horse. He loved that animal so much. I thought that experience was proof that the program actually works and that love can heal practically anything.
-Coco and I wanted to get out of the state park but the arena was built a little bit oddly. We improvised by climbing through the fence but a security guard thought she caught us sneaking in. After she realized we meant no harm, she tried to scare us by saying we were endangered by the bulls in the pin next to us because "those bulls are trained to kill people." Coco and I simply looked at the bulls, saw that they were puny and dead asleep and couldn't help but notice the intense fear rising within. Not. Poor lady.

Trapeze Hunter
Advice needed.
Would you be more likely to watch a film on a trapeze artist or a ghost-hunter?
You see, I have wanted to make a film on trapeze artistry for some time now and I finally feel like it could be a reality. But, a girl in the group is pushing really hard for Ghost-hunting.
Should I continue to pursue my dreams of winning over my group or just give in already?
- I really admire and respect my group.
- I am really passionate about my preference and think I would contribute better on a subject I love.

I am Allergic to School
No Seriously.
I was allergic to my high-school math classroom. I got sneezy, a stuffy nose, I'd cough a lot and usually have headaches by the end of class-for more than one reason. I was also allergic to a few punks in that class who would make my blood boil but my teacher never believed me.
This traumatic experience probably contributes to why I dropped statistics for the third time.

The Pageant Games
"Just remember Erika, Miss Congeniality never wins."
Though the Hunger Games has an overwhelmingly enticing story-line, my mind couldn't help comparing the plot to a beauty pageant. The book is held in the future, each year the capitol draws a girls name and a boys name from each district of the US to compete in a game to the Death. The last child standing, wins.
Single women, willfully volunteer themselves to compete in pageants and honestly, who knows why. Don't get me wrong, I love my sisters who were pageant involved but have never been fond of the sport. The similarities between this book and this activity are just too much to be ignored.

-Only one person can win
-You are competing to be someone else's definition of perfection
-The winner is flaunted to the world, visiting places around the US as "victors"
-The competitors can be rude, fake, mean and act as your friend but willing to stab you in the back (Don't be offended)
-Some competitors have been training since birth
-Some competitors will do ANYTHING to win
-You will be painted by stylists, with either wood finish or set on fire. Hopefully not both though.
-You are paraded around in the streets
-You are judged according to your physical performance
...just sayin...
Posting Pictures
Katie Corbin says I post too many pictures on facebook so I have been recently trying VERY hard to overcome my temptations to. I just got a brand spankin' new camera though, so I don't guarantee it will be too long for until this picture fast is over. But...this is MY blog so I get to post whatever I please.

Relief Society's Wild Side
Ward Zumba night.
What an interesting idea. Since booty-shakin feels (unsurprisingly) uncomfortable in a stake center, the program is simplified. Basically, Zumba becomes a "step tap step tap grapevine" class once again.
Which was fine because I just wanted to have some fun with Jess.
But what would Zumba be without drama? The three girls in front of us were kicked out of the gym because they were going faster than the instructor. This caused older ladies in the ward to be confused about what they were supposed to do. The instructor was extremely offended that she wasn't being followed and vented to me, even though I had never met her before in my life and understood why a girl would want to sweat during exercise. When in doubt (and caught off guard,) smile and nod.
Either way, I had no idea you could get kicked out of a gym class for having too much energy.
